Whenever I have a substitute, I always tell them the same thing- "my kids are so sweet, but they can not sit in their seats!" I personally hate sitting in a hard, uncomfortable chair all day, so I completely understand how these kids feel!
As their teacher, it is my responsibility to make the kids comfortable when they come to school. So here I am- trying to implement flexible seating in my classroom! This change-up is intimidating, but after seeing so many flexible seating success stories, I cannot wait to take the plunge!
A comfy couch will help encourage the kids to pick up a book and read. Balance Balls will help the students stay focused and less restless. Wobble Cushions offer variety- kids can use them in their chairs, or bring them to the carpet. I am so excited to give my students more opportunities to be successful!
