The students in my classroom all have multiple disabilities ranging from Autism to Traumatic Brain Injury. They are eager to learn and always try their best. My students struggle with retaining information and using their working memory. They also struggle with fine motor skills, social skills, and sensory processing. Our school has high expectations even for students with special needs. We strive to include students with disabilities as much as possible with their typically developing peers. Many students in our building are living in poverty. They do not receive a lot of parental support when it comes to education.
