Our students benefit from outdoor sensory activities. We develop lessons to stimulate our students through the use of their senses. Being outside is a great way to not only incorporate science but sensory awareness.
Some of our students are sensitive to the sun and heat, and the canopies will help protect them. Our courtyard is a great place to take our students, but there is no shade, and it gets very hot in the warmer months. Often, we're only able to take our students outside for a short time, due to their physical and medical needs. With the use of the canopies, our students can enjoy more time outside to engage in academic and sensory activities.
