I have been a teacher for over 16 years and absolutely love learning. This will be my 4th year teaching Kindergarten, and is by far my favorite age to teach! My school is in the heart of the city and is within walking distance to many museums, landmarks and libraries for walking field trips. Being in such an urban area, my students come from all socioeconomic backgrounds and a variety of cultures. I also have a few ENL students, meaning that English is a new language to them. My school is a K-8 International Baccalaureate, so we have a focus on inquiry and global awareness. I am always looking for new materials and activities to engage mt students brains in thinking and learning in a variety of ways. My goal for my students is that their first year of school is extra special so that they will love learning as much as I do and on their way to becoming life-long learners and open-minded thinkers.
