My goal is to make all students in my classroom scientifically literate members of our society. I strongly believe that if these students see the real-world application of the material we are covering in Biology they will be better engaged and invested in science. My vision is to build a classroom library full of science books that spark interest in not only reading but also in scientific research and STEM. The books I selected are at various reading levels and they will be used for years to come in immersing thousands of students in the amazing discoveries in Biology. If I am lucky, one of these books may encourage the next Darwin, Mendel, or Franklin to pursue a career in science.

About my class
