I have a very active classroom full of energetic 6 and 7 year olds. Sitting in chairs for hours on end is not developmentally appropriate for my little learners, nor is it fun. There is an abundance of research that supports the idea that movement increases brain activity. I can't think of a better way to fulfill this innate need to move in the classroom better than to provide them with wobble stools.
Just imagine how delighted my students would be if they could wiggle while they work. The ability to move, while working, will increase productivity, as well as bring smiles to my students faces.
