The big book center will allow students to choose big books that we have read as a class as well as big books that are new to them. The size of the pictures and illustrations are exciting to students. Big books are a fun way to motivate them to read and creates an exciting way for them to experience books. This center will provide a variety of children's literature for my students to enjoy as they strive towards becoming independent readers. Having this center will also keep the big books organized and make it easy for my first graders to clean up.
