My students love to play, as every 5 year old does. I am trying to build a classroom that helps my students learn through play. I want to provide my students with hands on materials and technology material to enhance their learning.
Our school serves a high poverty area, we are 100% free breakfast and lunch. We have a high population of English Language Learners, approximately 85%. Hands on materials help these students make connections with their learning.
I love using technology as a way to provide hands on experiences and educational play. Technology can often provide the background experiences many of my students are lacking from living in poverty.
