If I could describe my classroom in five words, they would be: authentic, rigorous, engaging, community-centered, and supportive. The students in my classroom love to learn and take ownership of their learning through projects and participation in classroom activities. Our classroom is a bilingual classroom and I focus on integrating culturally relevant practices into the curriculum. We read books about different cultures and by hispanic authors as well as learn about topics which connect to students' home cultures.
