Our school resides in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Although many of our students struggle financially, they are the most excitable, dedicated and resilient children that I have ever worked with. Their passions range from making art to learning yo-yo tricks, dancing and playing sports.
We start each day with a morning meeting where we greet each other in a new language and share answers to challenging questions like "Why do we need laws? and "Are men and women treated equally?" Overall, we are happy to spend the day learning together.
