My project is to create a Spanish department library. Our school does not have Spanish-only books other than 2 Dr. Seuss books and a couple of grammar & curriculum books from past teachers. Patricia va a Colombia would be the beginning of this journey. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding, reading comprehension, while at the same time reading a book in Spanish for their first time in their lives! With Patricia va a California, our students will experience the story of an American girl who travels to the United States from Guatemala. With this story students will learn about immigration, Panajachel, Guatemala and Ventura, California.
