My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Struggling readers benefit from reading along with an accurate and fluent reader. Each day my students have the opportunity to listen to popular books read by well-know actors, they interact with their spelling words in online games, and students with special needs are able to have select items read to them.
These headphones will help not only testing, but will enhance the interactive learning environment in the 21st century classroom. Right now students have to choose between old headphones that are broken or poor quality or take turns with the few headphones that have been brought from home. There isn't enough to go around.
The donations to my project will help to improve the rich learning environment in the classroom. It will give students the quality equipment that they have wished for but is not accessible to them.
