My 20 kindergarten students love to question and marvel at things they don't understand yet. Their conversations about the world they live in and how things work are rich and meaningful. This is the year to turn them on to school and learning. With a big push for math and literacy in the school system, hands-on science exploration is often left to be desired. These carefree, eager to learn students attend a school of over 700 children with families coming from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have 9 girls and 11 boys in class, some of them being English language learners.
