My school is a Title I school and we have a large majority of our population who are on free and reduced lunch. Our school does not have the funds to spend money on physical education equipment because they have to focus on purchasing items for the core academic classes since we are a 6th-12th grade school. My Students tend to focus more on traditional sports such as basketball, football and baseball. However I want to be able to expose all of my kids to a wide variety of sports that they will want to participate in on into adulthood; such as tennis. Also I want all students to find a physical activity that they can be good at, because being successful even at a sport will lift a child's confidence (which many of students need desperately). I believe every child should have the opportunity to feel like the hometown hero.
