Teaching Geography to 9th grade students isn't the easiest thing to do, especially in today's educational climate. Each of the items I have selected will be used by my students to enhance their engagement in what we are doing in the classroom. The wall maps will help immerse students in the continent we are studying, and give them an excellent resource to refer to when they have questions. The dry erase boards will allow us to work and answer questions at our desks individually, without having to partner and share the materials. We deal with so many maps and having a class set of markers and map colors is so useful to my students, many of whom come from low-income families.
