I teach 8th grade English Language Arts at Hilltonia Middle School in Columbus, Ohio, where our diverse and resilient students are eager to learn, create, and share their voices. In our classroom, we blend hands‑on literacy, SEL (social‑emotional learning), and project‑based experiences like Story Graffiti Walls, Character Hot Seat, and our Character Theme Museum. My mission is to create a space where every student feels safe, seen, and capable of growth—as readers, writers, and people. Your support helps us turn our classroom into a creative, collaborative hub where students gain confidence, joy, and academic skills they’ll carry for life.
