We are starting a Public Safety Academy with this year's 10th grade class. 40 students have joined the academy to work with our local police and sheriff departments to learn how law enforcement, criminal justice, and probation institutions protect and serve our community. These students recognize the need our community has for its own members to step up and make positive changes from within. Some of the projects we will be working on are ride alongs with police, working with code enforcement, and city clean-up.

About my class
