I love providing my students with a safe, fun, and engaging classroom where they truly feel like they belong. Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and strangers through Donors Choose, my class now has wiggle seats, exercise balls, rocking chairs, bean bags chairs, wobble seats, desk bands, and standing desks! I am now trying to fund a project for yoga mats so my students can comfortably learn how to stretch, relax, and breathe. By assisting in funding my project, you are not only helping to increase focus and engagement, but you are contributing to overall academic success. This will lead to improved self esteem and confidence in a population that often lacks these assets. It is crucial that we capture a student's interest in learning at an early age to ensure that it grows. My goal is to create a classroom where students can reach their full potential.
