For the 2018-2019 school year I am the Art teacher. I have 150 of the students in TK-5th grade. The disabilities range from Autism to learning disabilities to ADHD, emotionally disturbed and Intellectual disabilities. My students come from high poverty homes and I teach in a high poverty school where all students receive free lunch. Our students are deprived of many of the things most people take for granted, they require so much love and patience to meet their emotional needs. Every day is another opportunity to help them feel successful. Art levels the playing field for these students!
