Teaching is my passion! As a child I didn't dream of becoming a teacher because learning at school did not come easily to me! Amazingly, I fell into working with students because I was told that I have a gift for working with children. I also fell into working with middle schoolers, since the only position open upon my graduation was teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Learners. I love how much I learn from this age group and actually studied and received a masters in Middle School Education. Today when you come to my classroom, you can see that my teaching approach is student-centered, emphasizes project based learning, with an infusion of technology. Students participate in a variety of learning experiences from Global Book Clubs to In-class Genius Time Projects. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to achieve our learning goals-specifically using technology. I love my career!

About my class
