As a middle school counselor serving approximately 850 students from low-income backgrounds, I work daily to provide emotional support, academic guidance, and social-emotional learning opportunities. Many of our students face significant challenges, including trauma, instability, and limited resources. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to succeed despite their circumstances.
