I plan to work with my students using these materials in small groups. They will also work with these manipulatives in centers independently. My students will benefit from these learning tools in many ways. First, the use of kinesthetic objects helps with spatial awareness. Second, manipulatives promote problem solving and more real world experiences. Finally, these learning tools encourage creativity and independent thinkers. I would like to replenish my centers with more tactile learning experiences. While students engage in independent learning, I will be using some of these items to teach my small group lessons. These items will benefit both students and teachers to reach the shared goal of student achievement.
