One major skill preschool children need build is their fine motor skills. These hands on activies, such as puzzle building and the clip and create builders, I requested will give the children a choice on how they want to work on muscle strengthening, problem solving skills, and eye hand coordination skills to prepare the children for kindergarten. The various manipulatives, waffle and design builders, I am requesting will help meet each child’s individual fine motor skill goal while giving children the opportunity to improve and expand their problem-solving skills. Building fine motor skills is the first step to preliteracy skills. This project would significantly increase muscle strength and coordination, and help prepare children for more advanced skills. These hands-on learning opportunities will help children build independence in their everyday lives and will prepare them to learn more advanced concepts in their future education.
