Learning centers are areas within the classroom where students learn about specific subjects by playing and engaging in activities. I chose these center materials to help students accomplish specific tasks and practice various skills in a meaningful learning environment. The material requested would be used often to extend classroom lessons. Students learn, grow, and internalize through interactive experiences with each other, with adults, and with real materials that require all of their senses. Learning centers allow children to be self-motivated by concentrating on things that interest them intensely. By choosing to incorporate these centers, it will give students a chance to learn independently or work in small groups within the classroom.
