These books will encourage students to want to listen to books more as well as love their own classroom library. With these books, our class will have more of a differentiated library to meet diverse needs. The chapter books will be part of our daily read aloud. As a beginning teacher, my classroom library is small and I would love for more options for students. I want to be able to select chapter books that we can read each day and discuss them. During this time, I want students to want to hear more and be involved in the discussions around it. I believe having "popular" chapter books will engage them further. Flexible seating encourages students to work hard and learn lots. Having a variety of seating like wobble cushions and balance ball seats engages their minds and helps get those "wiggles" out. I want to enhance focus and motivation all throughout our classroom. My vision is to use these seating options as an incentive for students who are working hard and trying their best. I have done something similar before but with limited options. My students respond really well to having options to chose from.
