My main goal with this Ðǿմ«Ã½.org project is to help my students excel in their social-emotional learning. I want my students to learn different coping mechanisms when struggling and to learn it's okay to feel things. My project will help students find what they need in order to calm down and get in the learning spirit.
I want my students to be able to recognize their emotions and be to deal with them in an appropriate manner.
Whether that means they need to take a walk, or simply close their eyes and count to 10, it is important for my students to learn this now and be able to get a good grip on it so they can continue down the road of excellence.
Besides social emotional learning tools, I have also added to my list a water filter because my classroom has a sink. I also added water bottles so each student can have water throughout the day. I find hydration to be very important and the students won’t be missing class by getting water.
Lastly, I added some math manipulatives since I am lacking them for the new age I am teaching!
