My students are Autistic which means that learning is a struggle for them on a daily basis. Not only do they have learning disabilities but it is difficult for them to function in a normal classroom because of their emotional problems. They are in a Title I school where it is 95% reduced/free lunch. My students also have difficult home situations which inhibit their ability to concentrate and focus in class. They love to learn new things even though it is a struggle for most of them.
