My class is a diverse urban population of students who are Hispanic, Asian, African American, and White. They come to class excited about the different learning activities they will be participating in each day. In a years' time, they grow and learn so much, acquiring the foundational reading and math skills that enable them to read, write, think critically, and solve problems. My classroom is a blended learning classroom which includes teacher instruction along with the opportunity for students to use technology to practice what they are learning. The programs we use give me data that helps me to identify areas my students need additional instruction with and they help students to continuously move forward within their personal readiness levels.
