Our school is located in a city in southern California with a low socioeconomic status. Our school population is 94% Hispanic and 5% African American students and 96% of our students are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program. The students in my class have many challenges such as coming from a one parent household or many have to work a part time job. However, many of my students are very motivated and want to pursue a college education.
