I am a first year teacher trying to build up a classroom library that is representative of my diverse student population. I want students to have access to books that they can connect and relate to. I believe having a diverse classroom library helps to cultivate a positive and accepting classroom environment for all students. My goal is to have books that will engage students in discussions about inclusion for everyone! The school we will be at is brand new this school year! I want to take this opportunity to make acceptance and inclusion of everyone a classroom and school norm for my students!
