As students begin their day, we want to offer a "soft start." After two years of uncertainties surrounding the current health crisis, we want to focus our efforts this year on providing students with social and emotional supports.
The materials requested will be used to create stem bins which students will utilize at the start of every day.
The STEM bins will allow students a creative, non-stressful soft start to the school day. The STEM bins will also enable students to continuously develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills! Each morning scholars will select a stem bin to use before our school day and work independently or collaboratively to create a unique piece or solve a challenge. Research has proven that a "soft start" to the school day lowers student stress levels and increases student participation throughout the school day.
