What a successful year we have had so far! Students are in school, eager to learn, but they have also been affected by the cold and flu viruses this season. As the nurse, my top priority is the health and safety of our students, staff, parents, and visitors. Healthy children and staff promotes effective learning! One of the goals this year in our school is to prevent unnecessary absences due to illness. Items like Kleenex, sanitizing wipes and sprays help to cut down on the spread of germs. Health and medical supplies such as otoscopes, gloves, and bandages are not often mentioned with education, but it plays a major role in the quality of day many students have, as well as how long and how often the students are absent, missing vital instructional time. Parents entrust their most precious gifts to our school. We make it our mission to promote and maintain a healthy and clean learning environment. My goal is to have all the tools needed to continue to make that happen.
