My name is Chris Schloemp and I have been a teacher at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, California, since 1996. In that time, I have taught English, Drama, Film, Video Production, Theory of Knowledge, and Computer Animation. My core teaching philosophy is to allow students to pursue their interests, especially in the Arts, so that I truly become a collaborator with them, rather than the master transmitting skills. I love when students ask me how to do something that I do not already know how to do. My students tend to think of me as a big kid who never grew up, and I adore that they see me that way. A lifelong curiosity about everything and an insatiable hunger for learning inform everything I do in and out of the classroom.
