My students go to public elementary school on the neglected side of the city. They are energetic, excitable, and occasionally downright weird. One of my children swears she was born in 1962, and her mannerisms actually suggest it. As you might expect, these active personalities would much rather engage with each other than with the same 40 books on our classroom shelf.
