I work with an amazing group of young learners who want to know MORE. They want to more about dinosaurs, and space, and animals, and each other. The 14 kindergartners, first, and second graders in my class have special needs, including learning disabilities and Autism, but that does not slow them down. My students are thoughtful, and motivated to learn, but the curriculum is challenging for them. They learn differently than other kids and need extra support. They love books, but cannot read them themselves. They like math as long as it is concrete. They LOVE using science and technology, but really don't know how. They can play Minecraft,but have never had the access, instruction, or the opportunity to practice 21st century skills.
