I teach 7th and 8th grade at Don Riggio Elementary School. I see up to 150 students each day. We run a Middle School program in a multi-aged setting. I have the privilege of teaching World History, U.S. History, Visual Arts and Yearbook to our seventh and eighth graders. I am a firm believer in building relationships with my students and parents. I believe in creating a classroom where students feel safe and are willing to share. I focus on the positive with uplifting comments to encourage students to do their very best. I believe that all students can learn and grow to better themselves each day with the right motivation and encouragement. I am passionate about teaching students about our historical past and how it has shaped our world today. I know that creating art and allowing students to develop their own sense of creativity allows for emotions to flow in a healthy manner.
