Dramatic Play and Fine Motor Skills are extremely important in a child's learning during the early stages of schooling. Dramatic play is very essential for Pre-K students. My students love dramatic play but our classroom does not have a lot for them to play with. We would really like items such as veterinarian kits, tool kits, and grocery store.
Dramatic play will allow my students to grow both socially and emotionally. A child will learn how to take turns, share responsibility, communicate, use symbols, problem-solve, sort out fantasy and reality, relieve emotional tension, feel more powerful, and also develop vocabulary through dramatic play.
Fine Motor Skills are also an important skill in Early Childhood Education. Our classroom is in need of more ways for students to improve these skills. Lacing a thread through holes is a simple, yet effective way for them to practice.
