The K'nex Renewable Energy sets I have chosen for my students will enhance their teamwork and problem-solving skills, in addition to giving them hands-on experience in how renewable energy works. My students already work well together and building these will only improve upon what they are already able to do. It's incredible to watch them work together to solve a problem, and I know that they will be so excited to put these sets together.
My students are so engaged when they are working on a hands-on project. They learn so much more by doing that by simply reading about a topic. While I could still teach the topic that the sets address, showing cannot compare with doing. In other words, their understanding will be so much deeper through building and problem solving. I am sure that the students will be so grateful to have this opportunity.
