I work with special education learners in a New York City specialized public school. My high-school students are severely emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, and have special needs. Although their needs are challenging, their enthusiasm to participate and grow as educated thinkers is truly inspiring. Hands-on learning materials, technology resources, and educational supplies are in great need as they are predominantly from low-income, high-poverty stricken homes with limited access to the necessary essentials to meet their needs. Any and all help to our class would be greatly appreciated and utilized.
