These materials, such as the Learning to Get Along Book Set, will help ease my students' transition into the academic world. I will be able to teach my students empathy, mindfulness, and the socials skills that are necessary for their social emotional and academic success.
Our students need to be able to recognize and understand their emotions in order to navigate successfully through their relationships with their families, peers, and teachers.
They will be able to work out their own conflicts by having the tools to recognize the emotions in others and seek peaceful resolutions to their own issues. These books will also help use to build more inclusive, peaceful, and community driven classroom environments.
