This project is requesting a variety of flexible seating including Big Joe Dorm Chairs, lapboards and laptop lap desks, plastic stack stools, Balance Balls, Wobble Cushions, and Expo dry erase markers. With these materials, my students will be able to choose their seating to best fit their needs, while moving throughout the classroom. Students can move throughout the room in small groups, while still completing their work. I know my students will be thrilled with these new materials. Research shows that flexible seating improves learning for students. I am confident that this will be something that students not only look forward to, but will also greatly benefit from. For most students, the brain is only able to focus for a small amount of time without movement. However, this will allow students to focus and collaborate for extended periods.
