These materials will provide a comfortable and welcoming classroom for my babies this year. I want to step outside the box and provide the most enriching and fun filled learning environment for my diverse group of learners. I want them to take pride of their classroom and utilize the items in it with purpose. I want my students to voluntarily visit the library center and read a nice book. I want them to have areas in the classroom where they can relax and take a breather after a rigorous lesson. My students work very hard and this project will be a nice reward for them!
On my wish list, I have an interactive globe. This will be ideally used during social studies/geography. My students will be very impressed use this globe during a science lesson on stars. When we turn off the lights, the globe will shine.
Next, I have inflatable chairs. Since my students love throwing themselves on the floor during silent reading, a few of them can relax and read on some comfy chairs.
I also have the a comfortable ball chair, this will serve as a reward to students for excellent behavior or as a classroom academic incentive. Students will be allowed to sit on the special chair throughout the day .
The multiplication and division game will be utilized during academic fun day or during a math center rotation. It will be a great and interactive way for students to relate multiplication and division.
Finally, god old flash cards will be utilized as extra practice on multiplication and division also during game day or centers.
