Students are low economic social status. I have the distinct pleasure of having a combination of Homeroom class of 15 General Education Native English Speakers, 9 boys and 6 girls.
In addition a serve the population of Bilingual students of 23 which are divided into 11 girls and 12 boy English Language Learners.. They are very energetic and eager to learn. It is one traditional Bilingual 50/50 and Regualar General Education classroom. I share my teaching . We have very limited resources when it comes to headphones for our computers in order to take daily reading instruction and assessments ISIP, Imagine Learning and STAR Reading Program Renaissance Program for our second graders. They are all students who receive free-lunch from our Nutritional Services in the district. I have recently moved from one district to another within the same county of Dallas, and am eager to have donors help me at DeSoto ISD.
