Lake Gibson Middle is a school on the rise. We are dedicated, motivated and ready to flourish. My students, of various races and ethnicities, come predominately from low, socio-economic backgrounds. Many of them are on free or reduced lunch, have single parent homes, and are generally low performing. Many of them don't have access to technological resources that could accommodate their various learning styles. Outside of school, they do not use technology for educational purposes. They are unaware of the many possibilities that are available through the effective use of technology. But, beyond where they come from, my students are kids that are kind, generous, and full of potential. They have various talents, interests, and abilities that have yet to be tapped. Most of them are willing to work, but need to get over the hump of being disengaged and bored.
