My students are preschoolers who come from various backgrounds. They attend an inner-city school and one hundred percent of them receive free and reduced-price lunch and live below the poverty level.
These students lack the resources in their home to expand their language and reading abilities, so this project will increase their learning immensely.
Many have a Spanish language background and enjoy learning English at school. Once they enter kindergarten at our school, they will enter a dual language bilingual program.
