We are a Title I school, which means we have many low income families in our community. The students I see are a diverse group of individuals that are ready and eager to learn!
Many 5th and 6th grade students choose to be a part of our Band program because they are excited to learn how to play an instrument, but most importantly, they have fun doing it!
Our program has some of the hardest working students; although not required, many choose to stay after school to practice and get better at their instrument each day. Through band, we have fostered a safe, fun learning environment. In our classroom, students bond, encourage, and motivate each other to get better through the power of music.
