My students are ready to take the world on and become the leaders we all know they will be. They have creative, determined, and flexible minds that I know will challenge me to keep them learning on a deeper level that they deserve. However, the traditional classroom with traditional desks will not benefit their gifted minds. These gifted, talented, and creative students have a need to experience seating options that will allow them to have their minds and bodies work at their full potential. Flexible seating will allow my students to learn in a place that fits their learning style and they will learn how to take ownership over their own learning. They will take ownership of their own learning and decide where they will be able to work to their full potential. Whether it is sitting on the floor, gently bouncing on exercise balls, swaying on the wobble chairs and cushions, sitting comfortably up against the reading pillows, or sitting at a traditional desk, my students will work in the most efficient manner for them. By having multiple seating options for my students, I will be able to reduce classroom behavior distractions and increase student productivity.
