This fall will be my first as a special education teacher. I have spent many years learning about the unique needs of students and how what works for one student may not work for another. With this project, I want to focus on providing options and choice to my students this fall. I would like to provide them with access to alternative seating options: regular stools, wiggle stools, balance balls, and kick bands for fidgety feet. I would also like to provide my students with meaningful math content using hands on manipulatives and other math tools. Things like visual timers, fidgets, and white boards are helpful during day-to-day school tasks and transitions for students with special needs.
