Last school year, our school created an outdoor classroom for all of our students to learn. We have raised flower beds, picnic tables, bird feeders, bird baths and seating to enhance science instruction. The addition of a sink, classroom set of garden tools and additional planter boxes will provide much needed equipment to fully implement outdoor learning.
Teaching our students to grow vegetables and plants has increased healthy eating and living habits!
The garden tools will allow students to spruce up and enjoy the outdoor learning spaces. Adding a planting table will help students prepare plants and seeds for planting in the additional garden boxes. I'm sure our custodians will be happy about that!
