I am asking for flexible seating to allow my kindergarten students to make their own choice and to take charge of their self-driven learning! My kindergarten class has 26 students, and it is hard to have many tables inside a small classroom. However, with flexible seating, my scholars are able to think freely in their own space causing less distraction from other peers. Movement and motion keeps the brain and creative juices flowing! During independent or center time, my students choose a location in the room that works best for them. Currently, my students have a variety of locations in the room such as different tables, sitting under the tables, or lying on the floor. Making sure my students are in a comfortable and safe environment is essential to motivate their differentiated learning. When students are given the choice on where to sit, they are more engaged and focused on their learning!
The products I selected (wobble chairs, wobble cushions, and balance balls) will help my scholars become efficient and effective towards a greater success! These items will be extremely beneficial for students who need to get their wiggles and jiggles! They are lightweight and can easily used in many different areas around the classroom. This will not only change their learning but shape their positive mentality! Flexible seating managed correctly will promote growth mindset and impact them in a tremendous way! Please, find it in your heart so support such a deserving group of future leaders!
